The Richmond Riches Puppy Auction quickly established itself as the premier Greyhound Puppy Auction and Auction Race series in Australia with Auctions being held in November 2014 and 2015.
Pups that were sold at each Auction, are then eligible to compete in the specific Puppy Classic Auction series held eighteen months later for the richest provincial purse in Australia...currently worth $100,000 to the winner.
The inaugural running of the 535m Richmond Riches Puppy Classic was won by the $30,000 2014 Auction Sales topper, Thirty Talks, owned by Len Antonio and trained by Tony Brett.
Subsequent to the 535m race series, the 400m and 618m 2016 race series were conducted with Lowanna's Son (trained by Sharron Webster) claiming the 400m series while Tommy The Weapon (Neville Brown) took out the 618m series, with both greyhounds earnings connections $7,000 for their wins.
Please note: Due to the proposed Greyhound racing ban by the NSW Government, the Richmond Race Club were left with no alternative but to postpone the 2016 Richmond Riches Puppy Auction until further notice
